ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Synopsis- Finney Shaw is a boy who’s being held in a soundproof basement by a sadistic, masked killer. When a disconnected phone on the wall starts to ring, he soon discovers that he can hear the voices of the murderer’s previous victims. Ethan Hawke played the serial killer and I was responsible for patterning and draping Mr. Hawkes’ costumes.
Once again, a very interesting project with designer Amy Andrews. The tan 70’s polo was a copy of an existing piece but the production needed a total of three so the pieces needed to be constructed.
The set of three western shirts were a design based on an existing 1950’s child’s western shirt constructed of knit fabrics. Our 70’s version was also constructed of knits but the designer couldn’t find knit fabrics that spoke exactly to what she wanted so the graphic patterned bodies are constructed from Old navy Henleys the yokes and cuff are from navy blue polo shirts and only the brown serge was fabric yardage.
The black polo with red dickie was a copy of a 70’s Kmart shirt. The challenge for this piece was finding the correct weight polyester in contemporary fabric. Sadly, the very dramatic red shirt with attached black china silk cape did not make the final cut of the movie.
